A Good Mail Day in One Box

My Phat Fiber Sampler arrived today. I opted for the fiber option (meaning, yarn, accessories and fiber). Here is a detailed break down of the contents… with links… and pictures…

*Northern Bay Handspun: sample 2ply merino/silk in Fushia (…pink…) – hmmm, there is a knot in the skein… **EDIT: Turns out the knot was how the ends were secured, my bad.**
*Sneaky Pig Yarns: 15yds superwash merino fingering weight (denim-y blues and black)
*Turtle Cove Farm: 10gr/46yds of Turtle Feet sock yarn in Ice Flower (pretty blue colourway) *they also carry soaps…*

The heavier yarns

The lighter yarns

*SummerStar Creations: 2 bead/stone sts markers (on neat metal ring holder) – should fit up to 6-6.5mm needles
*Yarn Candy: 2 little sts no snag enamel markers for sock/lace needles

*Enchanted Yarn: approx 2ft of natural wool called Clun Forest Wool *looks like she has some pretty dyed fiber*
*Melissa’s Kre8tions: sample of wool (teal)
*Moonlight and Laughter: a bit over a foot of BFL roving in Deep Lake (beautiful teal, blue, purple)
*Natchwoolie: approx. 3ft strip of natural winter white mohair/wool
*Sweet Pea Fibers: bag of merino roving Au Natural (brown)

*kNotes for kNitters: 3 fun knitting post cards
*Lote Tree: sample of Glacier Lake soap (smells really lovely)
*Wooden Treasures: a rustic wooden button

The package also included coupons from the following sellers: Andey Originals, Chauncey Design, Designs by Tami, Dyed by Danido, Handspun and Dyed Too, In Stitches, kNotes for kNitters, Moonlight and Laughter, Moonwood Farm, Natchwoolie, p2tog, Sneaky Pig Yarns, Whorled Peace, Yarn Candy.

My heart jumped when I saw all the little sample skeins and the sock and worsted blanket bells went off in my head! (Apparently it doesn’t take much to make me happy…) I’m really looking forward to spinning up the fibers, esp. the Moonlight and Laughter, Natchwoolie, and Sweet Pea ones. Of the wools I really like the Turtle Cove and Handspun and Dyed Too. (The soap is amazing smelling… I can’t wait to try that either…)

In other news:
*The thesis is … there, I’ve managed to do a large portion of what I needed to for chapter 2, and will be moving on the three tomorrow (the rest of today is library to do list making)
*My room is empty (well, nearly) and spotless. Pictures to prove it – those of you who saw it before, might want to sit down.

These are cluttered compared to what it looks like now….
