It is now July 3rd and the Canada Parties are over.
On the 30th we hosted a semi-formal one here, which was a great success. The bar and the ‘dance floor’ (aka. that space in the basement in front of the tv) had a great work out, the patio was enjoyed, and my cupcake Canada flag [...]

Okay, so it isn’t 500 miles… I, using my ravelry stash stats, calcuated the milage in my stash: rounding to the nearest 1000, I have 40,000 yards of yarn. Which works out to 22.7272 miles or 22 miles and 1280 yards (or if you want to go the other way: 120,000 feet or 1,440,000 inches*) [...]

Last night I got a bit more spinning done, while I watched Stardust with my sister. I continue to work my way through the merino/silk and to contemplate what to do with it in the end.
Today, my second bead order arrived:
(NTS- check hole size in beads more carefully, these are too small for the wire [...]
I’m dreaming of a white Easter

Maybe it’s more of a nightmare, but likely a reality unless ol’ma nature gets her hot on real fast.
Another slow few days on the knitting front (where, oh where is my LACEWEIGHT?!!) But I got the spinning bug real bad, between anticipation for my wheel and Ravelry fora… I’m dreaming in handpainted rovings (literally). Last [...]
